FLL and Jr.FLL Rookie Coach Training – May 15
This coach training planned for May 15 at iSPACE in Sharonville, is ideal for coaches and parents who are new to FIRST and are interested in learning more information on the role of a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Coach or a FIRST Junior LEGO League (Jr.FLL) Coach.
In room 905, Jean Bolte, iSPACE FLL Tournament Coordinator and past FLL coach, will step you through the basic essentials from 6:30 to 7:30 pm of preparing a team for an FLL tournament. At 8:00 pm, a hands-on introduction to the most commonly used programming language in FLL, NXT-G will be explored.
In room 907 from 6:30 to 8:00pm, Bev Ketron, iSPACE Jr.FLL Expo Coordinator and iSPACE Education Director, will provide the key concepts and tools needed for a team to participate in a Jr.FLL Expo and explore common LEGO elements used by teams.

BLAST OFF! Paper Rocketry
Blast off with Sir Isaac Newton and explore his three laws of motion through rocketry activities. Investigate the aerodynamics of launch vehicles while building and launching your own paper rocket with some specially designed high powered air launchers. Kids of all ages will be amazed as to the heights their rockets will soar. Guaranteed to be a BLAST!
Who: Recommended for 5+ (an adult must attend)
What: Family night, 90 minute program

Celebrate the Eighth Annual Space Day!
Help us celebrate “Space Day 2012” hosted by iSPACE and Great Oaks on May 5, 2012 from 10 am to 2 pm. This is a public family event and best of all, it is FREE of charge! For more information about Space Day 2012, including exhibitors and activities, please check out our 2012 Space Day Flyer
We need volunteers, age 16 or older, to help us staff the activity booths, distribute tickets, give out information, etc. Any training needed will be provided the day of the event. In order to give you a chance to enjoy some of the activities with your family, we are breaking the volunteer slots into two shifts.
If you are able to volunteer for this event or help in other ways, please click on the link below where you may select your preferred times and duties. For those of you who really want to contribute some time or students who need service hours for school, you may want to sign up for ALL DAY.

Join us for the Launching of the 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk Into Space on Saturday November 3, 2012 on the Scarlet Oaks Campus in Sharonville!
Your participation will help support the iSPACE mission of providing the community with exciting hands-on, educational programs that promote career awareness in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
