annualgivingAs a not-for-profit organization, we need your support to help inspire students to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and careers. Our unique, problem-based learning programs have proven to improve academic performance and create career awareness. You can help students and educators prepare and master the skills needed for the 21st century.

Studies show that there is an increase in interest in STEM and STEM careers among students who engage in hands-on, inquiry-based STEM learning at an early age. This authentic problem-based learning allows students to see the connection between what they are learning in the classroom and how it has relevance in their everyday lives. In turn, this creates purposeful learners and this self-motivation improves classroom performance. iSPACE programs and experiences are designed as building blocks for each student that integrate and apply skills to the boundless life opportunities of science, technology, engineering, mathematics. Tracking of several students who began participating in iSPACE programs in 2003 demonstrate that these students are now graduating from college and many of them are choosing STEM careers right here in Greater Cincinnati. We will give a return on your investment.

Despite the growing need for a workforce with a strong background in STEM, statistics show that students in our region are becoming less proficient in STEM subjects and less interested in pursuing careers in those fields. There is a compelling need to increase the STEM literacy and STEM self-efficacy of our region’s youth through both formal and informal education and opportunities for experiential learning. It is imperative that we act now to reach students and increase their proficiency and interest of in STEM fields. School systems working alone cannot significantly impact these statistics.

Together, we can bridge the gap between the needs of the technically oriented and innovation driven businesses and the availability of highly trained graduates. Your donation and continued support helps to make an impact in our community as well as in individual students and educators.

What our partners say:

What students say:

“These programs [summer camp and FTC] have tremendously expanded my options for my future and opened my mind to several new career options that I have never really thought of pursuing such as careers in STEM like computer sciences and programming oriented towards robotics. The camp at iSPACE was an excellent experience that was fun-filled, memorable and opened up a world of new educational opportunities.” Anusha Komaragiri, Student, Mason High School

What educators say:

“My students and I LOVED the field trip to iSPACE! I have never been on a field trip where 100% of the students were engaged 100% of the time and LEARNED so much! The iMISSON program is so engaging and includes so many of the STEM skills we are working so hard to implement.” Bridget Moore, 5th Grade Teacher, Boyd E. Smith Elementary
